I started out talking about the corrections to the announcement of the Carnival Mardi Gras updates, since Monday, was you know Monday. Sometimes you just want to want a do over. He He He!
So, the dates of the cruise is December 12-19, 2020 not in January 2020.
For information on our groups that we host, are listed on our main website Mardi Gras
The reason we are having your make your deposits early is because of availability and pricing. Also, many of our clients are on budgets just like us and would prefer to pay in installments instead of final payment at once. If you need to cancel 90 days prior to cruise, you will not be penalized accept for cancellation fee of $50 per person to Echevarria Travel. $250 per person is due no later than August 10, 2019. See our website for pricing. which is double occupancy only rates, no triples or quads in our groups. Interior and Balconies were only available all Oceanview were not available for this cruise.
So, travel tips for this week are especially with the heatwave across the US, it is even in the triple digits here in Orlando, which for us it is too hot. Usually, that come in August.
Tips for traveling in hot sticky weather:
- If you are not a fan of the heat or have medical issues, we suggest that you look for a cooler destination then Florida.
- If you in this weather, no matter where you are
- Drink plenty of water
- stay near air conditioning
- Use Sunscreen and wear a hat and sun glasses
- Pace yourself
Also gave tips about traveling with the airports, not matter what time of the year.
Especially with the issues of weather and planes having mechanical issues, you want to call ahead the day your are leaving and make sure your flight is on tipe. Please remember, that if the weather is beautiful where you but their is a hurricane, tornamdos, etc in another area, this will affect your travel schedule, and everyone else’s.
Also, even though it is recommended that you arrive at the airport 2 hours prior to a domestic flight, and 3 hours prior to international flights. You leave earlier than that. TSA is crazy and becoming more and more stricter. For small airports this may not be an issue, but if you are flying from Orlando (MCO), JFK, Atlanta, LAX, etc these airports get crazy.
If you are flying with someone who has a special need or disability. You know the horror stories you hear about, when the old lady is padded down and has a diaper on. Or someone with a wheelchair or guide dog, and more needs assistance or even those with pacemakers and insulin pumps that cannot go through the scanners. I highly recommend you contact the TSA Care Program 72 hours prior to arrival at your airport, this is only flying and returning to US destinations. It wont work international airports. When you contact them. You will be speaking to a real person, let them know specifically what the reason and help you need at the airport, do you need help with security, traveling with a service animal , traveling alone and need a meet and greet and assistance to the gate. etc, etc. They will let you know where to meet them and a person to contact once you are at your airport.
