Today my travel partner Playa Resorts unveiled their newest resorts in Cap Cana, Dominican Republic, the Hyatt Zilara (Adult only) and Hyatt Ziva (Friends and Family resort) sister resorts that have sharing privileges, but their own special options as well.
At the time of this posting, the Dominican Republic is open to travel to from the United States. Here are the restrictions and preparations for traveling to the DR during this time.
Per the U.S. State department as of July 20, 2020 here is the information, should you be interested in traveling, please contact us, and we will give you the latest information.
In this new normal, it is best to have someone who has your back like a travel professional like myself and Nelson, to make sure you are receiving the correct information and alternatives and emergencies when traveling, doing it yourself, you cannot guarantee you will get the information in a timely manner or someone who can handling it by just reaching out by phone, texting or mobile app.

Now on to the resorts.
I am focusing on the adult only property, if you are a family, this resort is right next door and shares some of the adult only options, but they have teen clubs, family style dining, spas and more.
This resort is located on the Juanilio, Beach located about 15 minutes from the Punta Cana International Airport, and don’t worry transfers are included in your stay.
This a brand new resort in the exclusive gated community of Cap Cana.
If you love the white sandy beaches and able to swim and not worry about rocky areas, this is the place for you, 2 miles of white sandy beach, just waiting for you to put your toes into. ahhh!
Only 375 suites to choose from; 6 resorts and 7 bars & lounges.
Dining options range from buffet restaurants, where the food is made fresh, but it will be plated for you and handed to you, you will not be able to self serve yourself, but all you can eat.
Also like I mentioned, if you want to try Indian or love Indian Food, they have the Journeys, here is the description. I love Indian as long as not to spicy. Drink lots of yogurt if you do.
Take a journey on The Maharajas’ Express as you dine your way through India’s flavors at this luxurious restaurant, featuring its own train seating.
They also have a one of the kind in the Caribbean restaurant called Brando, named for Marlon Brando the actor, the food if French Polynesian, which sounds so good. Polynesian right in the Caribbean.
They also have Seafood restaurant and Italian, when you are ready to book, I will send you a list of the dining options.
All I have to say is wow, these are gorgeous properties. If you are looking for a casino, then this is not for you, but if you are looking for sitting and relaxing, water parks, restaurants such as Indian, where you are able to sit in a replica of the Orient Express Train option design. Well we have more to share.
They have a Cenote inspired spa. What is a Cenote? A cenote is a deep, water-filled sinkhole in limestone that is created when the roof of an underground cavern collapses, but don’t worry you are safe, they have indoor waterfalls and such a relaxing theme for you to enjoy. The Lamier Spa is 26,000 sq. ft. plenty of space to relax.
They have for those of you who love to workout or Yoga Instructors or Fitness people, if you have a following on Facebook, etc. and want to do a retreat, and get to know your followers, let me know and you can probably travel for free in a group. Call and ask me how.
The Refinery the fitness center has 14,000 sq. ft of space, that you can use for all kinds of training and exercise, the have spin rooms, and also great places outdoors to set up as well.
These 2 resorts opened this year, but with Covid they just re-opened on the 22 of July. In the DR, like many of the other destinations, they practice social distancing; and yes you have to wear masks as well, where indicated.
